The Volunteer Director of Salesforce will lead and manage the Salesforce platform to support Dream Factory of Brooklyn's mission to grant dreams to critically and chronically ill children. This role involves overseeing data management, improving user experiences, and ensuring Salesforce is used effectively to track relationships, donations, and engagements. You will collaborate with various departments to tailor Salesforce functionalities to organizational needs, ensuring optimal data integrity, reporting, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of Salesforce administration, including user setup, permissions, workflows, and data management.
Develop and implement strategies to improve Salesforce functionality to support fundraising, donor relations, and volunteer management.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and support data-driven decision-making.
Train and support staff and volunteers on effective use of Salesforce, offering troubleshooting and technical assistance as needed.
Collaborate with the Development and Marketing teams to align Salesforce usage with donor engagement and outreach efforts.
Conduct regular data audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with privacy and security protocols.
Stay informed of new Salesforce features and best practices, and implement updates to optimize the platform.
Customize Salesforce fields, layouts, and workflows to meet evolving organizational needs.
Develop documentation for Salesforce processes and ensure continuity in Salesforce usage and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in Salesforce administration or consulting, ideally in a non-profit setting.
Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and how they support relationship management.
Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and custom workflows.
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills and the ability to train and support non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
Commitment: This volunteer role requires a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. Flexible scheduling available, with most work conducted virtually.
